Well thing with Charlotte wasn't necessarily the 5 that was the problem it was the 4 and Bridges being bad on defense so I do agree with what you're saying about the size thing being a bit overstated.....Grant really isnt a bad fit but I think they can do better than paying him 70ms over the next two seasons

I looked at it as it beats potentially signing bridges again and Grant for a short deal wouldn’t hurt me too much

The fit I like because he would ultimately have the same role as bridges and can do what he does with more length and height

I think for the culture they have growing there he’s a decent fit

I’m not married to this though it was literally the first trade I thought of lol
 
If this was anyone else I would say this is just a smoke screen and trying to drive the price but Ballmer really does love Kawhi and would rather hold on to him then trade him when he's healthy and his value will never be higher

Thats true too....get a year or two of grant before its time to start paying everyone else. Brandon Miller about to get his money real soon

But yeah have Grant until he turns 34 as a veteran who can contribute at a high level and then tell him to fuck off when it’s time to start paying guys

Really my only thing with this is Grant really that much better than Bridges defensively at this point?

Like yeah he does have more size and is longer nh but idk if you want him being your primary defender

I would almost rather keep Bridges as six man and possibly even resign him if they could get somebody....they have expirings, all of their picks and a few firsts from other teams

Hornets can resign Brandon Millers and still have 50ms in cap space next summer


The problem is the type of player they need is literally one of the most coveted and hardest player types to get lol


McDaniels would perfect but thats definitely not happening

Toumani Camara......Portland probably not giving him up

Payton Watson would be great

Keegan Murray maybe? I like him there

I lied, the very first person I thought of was Watson but I can’t support him being on the hornets lol

Funny enough PJ would be phenomenal on the hornets lol

I don't know if trading the guy you colluded with to circumvent the cap would be a good idea if he doesn't want to leave LA while actively being investigated. Damn right he doesn't want to move him lol. They're tied to each other until kawhi is ready to leave.

Speaking of Sabonis

Does fox and two picks get Sabonis?

I know the Kings won't do it. But this can also be asked for Lauri even though the Jazz probably wants to compete so they won't do the trade.

Both of these players are extremely flawed and but also give the Spurs exactly what the Spurs need and the Spurs cover all their flaws.

Sabonis especially. Say what you want about him, but he is one of the best play makers at his size, an elite rebounder, and can stretch the floor.

Kings won't do it cause they won't want fox back.

But Sabonis is the exact player the Spurs need.
 
Spurs organization should hurry up and announce that Harper is starting and Fox is coming off the bench. It's best for business. lol
