He literally showed people cosigning you what they said in their own words wanted to see, I quoted those posts for a reason. Now that he did that isn't enough and when he does put kids in the school that won't be enough either.

It's weird that we live in a world where grifting and scamming is so prominent even at the highest and most visible levels of society, and people still don't seem to understand what grifting and scamming are.

Umar having a building ready now doesn't mean he wasn't and isn't still grifting. Him opening the school doesn't mean he wasn't and isn't still grifting. Donald Trump is the real president of the U.S. and 90% of what he's done in office, especially this second time, has been grifting.

As many people have pointed over the years, if Umar actual goal was to open a school to help black boys, he could have done that several times over with the support he's had for more than a decade. We know this because many people have done exactly what Umar claimed he wants to do with less support. Something doesn't have to be completely fake to be a grift. If he's out there asking for money specifically for school, but using 75% of that money to fund his own personal lifestyle, he might actually open up a school one day, that doesn't mean he hasn't been grifting and robbing people.

Also, we gotta address the lies about the opening date. He promised it was gonna be up and running by 2021. Now here he is in 2026 telling Envy he needs a Certificate of Occupancy, and even if he got that today he wouldn't be able to open until Fall 2027. So if he's still at least that far away right now, how genuine was he being when he was saying it'd be open in 2021 and 2024 (and I don't even know what other dates)?

But that does raise a question. He relies largely on speaking engagements for his personal income. So Pre-COVID the FDMGA account that he controls had about enough money for renovations. Then COVID hit and was a huge blow to how many speaking engagements he got, and then the FDMGA account didn't have enough money for renovations anymore (judging by how much time it took to complete the job).

You come across as a supporter because you're choosing to believe what he says no matter what red flags people are bringing up. I'm not knocking you for hoping for the best. Just saying that's why it comes across as a supporter.

I don't get how that level of lying can even be ignored. The school doesn't seem to have a working website, so I'm not sure how people are applying for jobs there, how parents are seeing the curriculum, how parents apply to send their kids there (dunno why you would with no information on the school).

I don't believe what he says no matter what, Im challenging what some of you guys are posting because some of those things being said are just assumptions and double talk based in your bias against him and its upsetting some of yall.

I never said he wasn't lying I've simply maintained I don't have any proof and I don't have any stake in it as a donor, and im pretty sure Ive said multiple times in this thread they should string him up if he is.

Hopefully it's done. I'll give him the benefit of doubt for now but if he comes back saying they won't pass him for inspection or something else and needs more donations to push through his donors should string him up.

So I find it odd to invest energy in seeing him fail. I would rather him do all the things to help black children than not.
