Reviews rolling in and...

This movie is unhinged lol. I did not expect the reveal for why Robert Pattinson's character started questioning the relationship he was in. Some people might find it offensive but I dig this romantic dark comedy. I thought Pattinson and Zendaya were excellent in this film.

How well do we know our partners? Are we capable of having the capacity for empathy towards people who may have done or even thought of doing the worst things?

The flashbacks work in pushing the plot forward, the editing in this was great. Really enjoyed this film

PRAISE: Im glad i was able to avoid the leaked script and far to spoiler filled reviews for this movie. There are definitely a number of people that won't get past the revelation in this movie. It is disturbing but I feel the movie really tried for the most part to make it and easier watch. The cast including Zendaya as Emma, Robert Pattinson as Charlie, Alana Haim as Rachel, Mamoudou Athie as Mike, Zoe Winters as Frances and Hailey Gates as Misha all do a great job with their roles. I actually felt their frustrations and sadness at times. Can you stay in a relationship, actually marry someone who has revealed something very dark and disturbing about their past? Will you always wonder if that darkness is still in their minds eye waiting to get out? The film plays with the aforementioned in what I thought were interesting moments in the movie. There's also some funny parts about all of people connected to a wedding from the DJ to the menu planner. Im actually shocked something wasn't presented in the movie and found it interesting, maybe even relieved that it wasn't included. I liked how the movied asked if we are to judgemental of others.

PROBLEMS: It was clear as a sunny day what a character was feeling and was extremely disturbed by what was revealed so I couldn't get on board with the character just putting on a happy face and pushing forward. Now if a couple of scenes before the climax of the movie about love conquering all had been presented in a boldly dramatic way I would have bought into it. I can also say the same about another character who was clearly upset and angry about the revelation when I saw their prescense all i could blurt out was why are you here?

Scale of 1 to 10 a 7½

Im only 30 minutes in. What the fuck is this bitches problem? How you that upset after telling them you left a kid in the forest in a closet for dead.

Im actually wild annoyed. Fdb.

For something that she didn't end up going through with at the end. Instead of having empathy for her and thinking of what type of dark place she must have been in as a child to think about that, she's judgemental. She represents a good portion of society

I get why dude might be freaked out internally because he's about to marry her. At least he's trying to talk through it and understand.

But fuck ol girl. She couldn't even come to my wedding after that shit.

Yeah couldn't be me the way ol girl was acting up at the wedding. I would have turned that whole shit upside down way before ol boy got going.

Bro was weird for trying to fuck on that Misha chick in that moment tho. Like wtf my guy.

Cool lil movie. 6.9/10. Wasn't mind blowing but kept me engaged from start to finish.
