Idk if its possible to do that and be a better team......

You already mortgaged part of your future with Garland for Harden....so just letting him walk after a first round exit would be a massive L

Harden and Mitchell are almost tied together at this point

Mitchell going to be a 30 year old smal guard in September and tbh he really hasn't proven he's that guy to be doing all that for

Like if you trade Mobley it has to be a Kawhi or Giannis type trade so if you do that it makes sense to keep Harden......if you trade Mobley for younger players Mitchell isnt sticking around for some reset or rebuild

It really makes sense to move on from Mitchell if doesnt work this year.....you have to remember he never chose to be Cleveland in the first place
Hmm…well if you move Mitchell who would you move him for and do you wanna see a team where Mobley is the most talented? Yuck

But I guess that’s the rebuild process so I get it

Shit I’m tired of jaemooms acting like these Cavs are contenders so I’m for it

Thats what Im saying....if they lose this season its over

Get a haul for Mitchell, go young and start the youth movement around Mobley for the time being....that doesn't mean he's your offensive player 2-3 years now but even if you arent the biggest Mobley fan its way worse players to have locked up as a foundational piece

Think about it like this.....you at a crossroads

Option A. 30 year old small guard Donovan Mitchell who has never been to the conference finals despite playing with elite defenders in Rudy Gobert and Mobley and is going to be a free agent soon looking for a max extension

Option B. 25 year old Evan Mobley under contract for the next 4 seasons and a top 5-7 defender in the league and you can get a ton of assets for Mitchell

Easy choice for me

I think yall should use this thread to discuss the series and worry about yall own trash ass teams. Hardens coming back, we're only trading Mobley for Giannis, and whether we keep Spida or not were not letting him walk without substantial return.

Koby Altman has consistently brought in STAR talent that has kept us at the top of the east for pretty much his entire tenure. I dont see that changing anytime soon.

Do you think it would be good to trade Mobley for Giannis with the way the team is currently constructed?

@Freeman

You think Darko has the balls to bench Ingram for Jakobe Walter if necessary game 5?
No. That would be bad coaching.

Jakobe Walter just played 27 minutes last game and scored the same amount of points as me.

I get ingram is struggling but you don't throw your offense in the trash or abandon your best scorer cause he's had a rough series. What are you talking about?

Almost like you prefer someone who is solid right away but never goes much beyond solid, over someone with star potential.

You don't know that to be true you're just typing shit. Yes in hindsight I want the player who is doing it well when it counts in real time over the player that you think might do better in theory.

Like even after a full season and playoffs there's nothing you can point to that indicates these guys will be better than cmb. It's just your opinion.

Just give the kid his flowers and stfu.

It was more about the defensive upside with Walter on the court

Im not saying throw BI in the bushes or not start him......but I meant so down the stretch or closing if he isnt making shots

Ingram with the 7.9 per on 23.1 usage this series is tough

Depends on the situation. There's so many variables. I don't think darko would be scared to make any coaching decisions that benefit the team tho. If its undoubtedly clear player x should be on the floor instead of player y when it matters then thats what darko will do.

If I'm a Raptors fan I feel great about this series win or lose for 3 reasons

1. CMB emergence
2. Playoff Scottie and him establishing himself

3.Already knew Darko was a really good coach but I think he's done an excellent job and has easily outcoached Kenny Atkinson....he's been very impressive

This season already a success and Toronto really playing with house money

Yeah im not and never was expecting a deep run out of this team this year but the experience and information we're getting about this group is invaluable.
