Finally watching boozer

The great thing is, he’s very fundamentally sound and completely ready to begin playing day 1

However, I do not know his role in the NBA

Maybe a Paul milsap?

Don’t think he can be a #1 option and I do worry about long term upside/potential

He’s very safe and there’s nothing wrong with safe

Depending on what team it is, I can be convinced to take Wilson over him
 
So I just watched about a 30 min cut up on boozer

Good back to basket game. Definitely like the physicality. I wish he had more of a mid range/face up game but maybe he’ll develop that. Release kinda slow on that the 3pt shot but it can be worked on.

Decent playmaker. Can read doubles and hit the open man. Solid outlet passer and I have no issues with him getting on the break.

Defensively he’s got active hands but his lack of athleticism will keep him from being an elite shot blocker. I don’t think he’ll be a sieve on defense but can definitely get cooked by quicker guards.

The defensive upside being so far ahead of all of the other top prospects and the fact that he's not a liability defensively....I see why thats intriguing and not that controversial imo

I feel like it’s not a wild take to feel like Caleb Wilson is going to be the better long term player or has better boom potential

But not taking boozer top 3 feels like the icky part

I disregarded him all year because to me he was just a typical long wing just dunking everything (plus got a punchable kid face) but his athleticism and his shooting changes things and greatly raises his ceiling

I feel you...I saw him in person when they lost to SMU and he didnt seem as impactful as he should bit he was clearly a differen level of player and athlete


Idk what you’re looking at with his shooting though lol...he shot 25% from 3 and 71% from the freethrow line which isnt great but his shot isnt broke and he has good form, Im not too worried about it though

Oh no I didn’t look up his stats I was going by film when he actually made the shots lol

It’s atleast something that can be improved on and it’s good that he atleast tried to shoot them

And yeah he’s 19 I’m okay with rolling the dice on him improving

Elite athleticism on both ends. Some of the plays he was making Boozer would never make.

He has a higher ceiling for sure. If the shot and ball handling raises you’re talking an all star/all nba caliber player.

Boozer has the higher floor. There’s a world where Caleb is just Stromile swift lol.

Stromile swift is crazy lol

If it’s a team like the pacers or something picking I’m not even hesitating on picking him over boozer

Nets I can see the argument because they need a stable 20 and 8 guy
