I don’t remember the day Pac got shot just when it was announced he died. My mom had the news on & I saw it breaking.

Biggie I remember hearing on the radio in my moms car.

I was 11 when both got shot.

I think I was riding in a car w/ my mom and she told me that Biggie got shot.

I remember when Pac got cuz I was sit in front of my aunt's tv watch Kurt Loder or somebody on MTV News breaking the news. Then while that's happening my mom get's call from my aunt, her sister, saying that my cousin had got arrested for shoplifting at the mall. Shit was funny, I still fuck wit her about to this day.
 
Shit i was most likely hanging out playing N64 or something when pac was killed bc i dont recall watching the fight.
same thing for biggie i was prolly sleep or doing some knucklehead shit
 
I was in 7th grade when Pac died. My pops woke me up and was like, "Get up. Pac just died." My pops ain't even care for rap like that, (still doesn't, actually) but he really liked Pac and he knew I did too.

I remember going to school and everything just being somber and gloomy. Legit quiet. No laughing that day. No jokes. Even the teachers understood. It was as if we all had the same relative that passed.

With Big, I moreso remember the aftermath more than I do the initial moment of his passing. I do remember thinking, "Wtf?! Again?!" but I couldn't tell you exactly where I was like I can with Pac.
 
I just turned 12 the week before. Hurricane Fran came through and knocked the power out for a few days. The power was still on when Pac got shot (4 days after my birthday) because it was all over the news. The day he died, it was all over the radio.
 
Don't remember exactly for either, but I just remember bumping the fuck out of their music afterward, especially Pac. All Eyes on Me and Makavelli both came out the year he died. I was a Bone fan too so the songs they had with Bone got major burn.

I don't remember feeling any way about it. They rapped about killing and death and at the time I thought everything rappers said we true. Chalked it up to the dangers of living the life they rapped about.

Both killings happened when I was in 8th grade.

Pac - Didn’t know till I got to school the next day. Never saw so many Beckys cry over a nigga dying in my life.

BIG - my people told me when I went to his basement. I was like “you lying.” Then he turned on MTV and they showed the coverage.

Holy fuck that was surreal. BIG’s death shocked me more cause he never was shit before, so we were all like “FUCK!”

Didn’t cry for either, tho.
 
Pac.. I was 19. I don't remember where I was at when he got shot, but when he died I was at work. Shit felt eerie as hell. The hood was in mourning for real. AEOM comin outta every whip and all the girls was crying like their man died.

When big died, I was on my way to church.
 
I was cooking and had the TV in the livingroom on espn or something when the Kobe news came across....i heard it and came to stand where i could see the tv

I said "GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE" and everybody came in the room.....I stood there for like 10 mins holding a spoon or spatula or whatever it was....fuck what I was cooking.....that shit was wack smh


same for Nipsey....I was just chillin at home....definitely fucked the day up


aside from those the one I recall was 9/11....my mama's car broke down that morning and we were waiting in front of a walgreens for my granddad to come help

heard some of it on the radio but by the time I got to school every class was dead silent with the tv on and folks were crying....i dont think we did shit that day but watch the news
 
9-11 I was home eating a bowl of capn crunch with crunch berries watching sports center. It went to a commercial so I started channel flipping and saw a tall building on fire so I stayed and watched and 20 minutes later a plane flew into the building next to the one already on fire.
 
On 9/11 I was in college walking to class. Someone one from my class drove by and was like "Hey man class is cancelled cause of the attack." I ain't even asked what attack. I just went home and got in the bed. When I woke up I learned what all happened. I don't know what was wrong with me, but I really didn't care that much about 9/11. I was trippin, but in my defense none of my friends cared that much either. The only reason I can think of is that we were all from the South and none of us had any connection to NYC or DC, so it didn't really resonate with us.
