jokic’s heliocentric offense is holding Bruce brown and Jonas Valanciunas backLike who? What players on the nuggets are being kept from contributing in a variety of ways that is costing them wins?

Yeah

Aight. Thanks man.I'm not talking about any one player. I'm talking about the team as a whole. I think systems that prioritize getting the best out of the role players over funneling everything through the superstar are better. It's not a Jokic problem. He's doing what he's supposed to do in the offense they are running. I just don't see where teams that prioritize one player that way have ever been super successful.
Nigga leads the league in assists lol.I'm not sure what your point is Monk
It's not like the offense is give joker the ball and everybody get out the way

I see what you’re saying but I think you used a bad example with the Nuggets imoNo, sorry if I didn't do a good job of presenting my thought. My original point was supposed to be that big numbers for the team's superstar aren't always the best thing for the team. A lot of the times when the superstar dials back, that's when the team starts to thrive.
Also, I don't think a winning record is falling apart. It doesn't matter that they only beat one good team. The common narrative is that the team is helpless without Jokic. They aren't. So if you can find a way to get that level of production out of those guys and then add Jokic to it rather than exchanging that level of production for what Jokic would give you, wouldn't that be better?

It applies to Lamelo because he’s a lame and you should never have him leading things but he has more help and less of a load and capable role players now
As far as the winning record when he was out they didn’t play many good teams but for a contender 10-6 is not good
Your main argument is you fighting against the narrative that the Nuggets are helpless without jokic
They luckily have avoided him being injured for the vast majority of his career so I don’t even know how this narrative comes up wherever you heard it
They aren’t helpless but when you lose a 3x MVP and nba championship arguable top 15 player of all time of course it’s going to have significant ramifications
Your argument is it shouldnt be this way because they center things around him too much but the counter argument is, this team is built around him so that’s just how it is
I could understand if they weren’t successful playing this way but they have been so why change things up for the lonious monk? So Christian Braun can average 3 more ppg?
I'm proud of my bro Monk for finally talking basketball.
Now doing it to say the guy who leads the league in assists on the team with the #1 offense in the league should get the ball less is a choice, but still, I'm proud to see it.
No comparisons. No the league was better when.
Just plain hating on a top player disguised as a take.
Welcome to the family my bro.
Lmao nah it ain't hate. Jokic has the second best on off numbers in the league. And leads the leagues best offense.lol Thanks bro.
But I told you, I talk basketball sometimes. Ya'll just hate my takes and try to dismiss them rather than fairly engage.
i'ma just chalk my thoughts up to im still not sure what point you are trying to makeI think ya'll are looking at it as if I'm attacking Jokic. I'm not. I don't think the problem is on him.
Think about MJ. His last year before Phil came, he put up 32 8 and 8 at 53% shooting for the year. The last 20 or so games of the season, he had 11 TDs with 7 of them in a row. Collins probably would have kept MJ in that position had he not been fired because Collin's belief was that MJ had to play that way for them to be successful. Phil came along and took the ball out of MJ's hands, and they won 6 championships. Had the Bulls stuck with Collins' way, MJ's career numbers probably would have been crazy, but he might have only had 1 maybe 2 championships. All I'm saying is that I think the people like to push for Collins way with some of today's great players, when the teams might have more success if they can find something closer to Phil's way.
