2025-26 NBA Season Thread: Back to Agenda Watching!

Added to Calendar: 10-21-25

I don't think James harden makes the Cavs that much better. Plus the history of playoff meltdowns.

It might be the first of a handful of moves though. Let's see

Im interested to see how this impacts their defense

Garland puts in more effort but Harden is way bigger

Welp thats why you can't have nice things in New Orleans cause you and your management don't understand why someone like that needs a roster spot. We'll take the $3.5 million hit.

Keep Garrett Temple out your chapped lips.

First of all, you not authorized to speak on baton rouge legends. That's the first thing lol

But to a larger point, he can still get paid that, just not as an active roster member

Do they still have those programs where the veterans talk to the incoming rookies? I think he's a great ambassador for that and every team should have that type of person on the team, just not on the roster

Ay man a trade happened we not talking about no fucking Garrett temple no more lmao tf
You don't dictate who responds to what and when nigga

I'ma highlight this post the next time AZ does it and see if you keep the same energy with him

Im actually thinking now if this means they're less likely to keep Kessler because of how much Jaren makes

They should be able to drive up a nice little bidding war for him

One underrated thing about Harden as a superstar is he is willing to fit in and he can bring so much to the team and play multiple roles.

So I can see him playing more pure pg and making the offense look better and unlocking Mobley.

That said, he's still an allstar level player but he is getting old and they getting him at the deadline so this season is probably a wash. And then giving him 80 mil for 2 years?

I get the idea that doing this potentially keeps DM on the team. So its not just a harden trade.

But idk if this raises their ceiling at all and they getting much older and locking themselves into an older player for the next 2 and a half years.

Harden still elite though and elite players can def do shit to prove analysis wrong. So I wouldn't be shocked if he goes in and kills it as a PG and frees up DM to be more of a scorer and the Cavs end up a top 4 team in the east.

First off fuck baton rouge he's a Torontonian now. Real 6er.

Next the core of what you're misunderstanding is that young players, shut even other veterans are more keen to respect the older veteran that is going through the grind with them. Going through tough training camps, practices, studying tape, late night flights, on the bench in game cheering them on and giving guidance in real time, someone in the trenches with them.

Its a difference between Toronto, Houston and even Washington are run than New Orleans. You not understanding what you should understand is a you issue.

I have no doubt that they are going to be very good offensively

Mitchell shouldn't be your primary ball handler and this should help keep him fresh since hes notorious for running out of gas in the playoffs

Keon Ellis was a good addition in the previous trade that should help with the perimeter defense but I think they still need more help on that end than anything

I feel like this was probably the best they were going to do trade wise if they wanted someone who could help now and possibly raise their ceiling even if just a little bit.....they probably could've traded Garland somewhere else and got some solid draft compensation but Donovan Mitchell doesn't give a fuck about future draft capital

Decent by the margins move by the Pistons to I assume get out of the ivey cap hold business and immediately get active this summer. They lack a second ball handler going into the playoffs tho. Guess they're really comfortable with caris levert and Danish jenkins unless there is another trade coming.
