COMING SOON Fable (February 2027)

The combat looks a little more in depth than previous fable games. Block and parry were a thing, but I recall being mostly hack and slash when I played and not too focused on defense much.

Dumb I didn't pay that well of attention. Fable was one of my favorite franchises when I had xbox 360. When this got announced I was happy the franchise was continuing, but bummed cuz I was so sure it was going to be xbox exclusive. Now that this will be cross platform I am hyped as fuck. I hope this new studio does well with it. Visually it looks great so far.

Crazy that the only games they've made prior to this was racing games though.
 
Looks good. I've always wanted to try a Fable game. Dragon's Dogma has me trigger shy on these kinds of games now though. I loved the first, but couldn't get more than 5 hours into the second before losing interest completely.

I loved all 3 of the original games but imo the games got progressively a little more lackluster every time. I dont mean to make it sound like any of them were bad games though.

The first one just kind of blew my mind. Back then it was pretty new to have that kind of decision making effect your game on top of having so much exploration. Other games like Elder Scrolls and Fallout were doing it, but fable was way cooler.

Fable 2 i loved and played the hell out of but it didnt have that same oooh and awww as the first one gave me

fable 3 wasnt as great of a story and felt a bit repetitive with a lot of stuff. Still played and beat it and liked it though. I didnt care for the world too much in that one. they put way too much focus into "youre a king" when all that really meant is you clicked on a table map and collected taxes from your regions. It wasnt super in depth with making you a king.

Itll be nice to get a fresh start though and a new story in this world.

loved the humor and the differences a bad guy or good guy made the story and people react

Nah fuck that.

People can play more than one game. I been waiting on this shit forever. I was plann9ng on playing more 2026 releases than average to get a genuine feel for what could be GOTY. I already had the expectation it would be out of Fable & GTA.

For me this feels like the initial GTA pushback.
