this mfer hhh sat there with a straight face and said "truth was never fired. we told him we weren't renewing his contract and he took it as though he was fired"

dude is playing the semantics game. fired, released, not renewing your contract means the same thing to an employee; “yall don’t want me here anymore”
 
Technically not renewing a contract isn't being fired, getting fired is still being under contract and they tell you you're no longer employed.
