When a 15th-century prince (Caleb Landry Jones) witnesses the brutal murder of his wife (Zoë Bleu), he renounces God and damns heaven itself. Cursed with eternal life, he is reborn as Dracula, an immortal warlord who defies fate in a blood-soaked crusade to wrench his lost love back from death, no matter the cost. On the verge of reuniting, Dracula is hunted by a relentless priest (Christoph Waltz), sworn to end his immortal reign.

The French director is to direct an adaptation of Bram Stoker’s’ “Dracula,” telling the story of 15th century Prince Vladimir who cursed God following the death of his beloved wife and is turned into a vampire. Later, in 19th century London, he discovers his wife’s doppelgänger and dooms himself by pursuing her.

It’s a vampire movie so I’ll watch but I wish they’d do something different than just retelling the same story every 10 years

That's weird I couldn't find this even though I posted in it. You can find the movie online. It's not good. Also looks like the name was changed again

I was going to bash it, but the trailer did look kind of interesting. If what you say is true, it's too bad it didn't turn out to be good. I like Dracula, but they can let him rest for a little while.

He uses a perfume to seduce people instead of it being him. They had took a very long time showcasing him going to different countries for ingredients to find the perfect perfume. I wasn't a fan of that

lol That's gotta be one of the dumbest and most unnecessary changes ever.

PRAISE : Even though following the same outline of the story of Dracula Director and writer Luc Besson attempts to include certain new twists and paths with this movie. Part parody, and bloody story of eternal love i respect the seven production studios and Besson that invested in the high production value of the movie. There are impressive visuals that are as striking as the violence. I appreciated some stand out scenes with impressive armor and costumes. For a time i felt the passion between Dracula Caleb Landry Jones as Vlad / Dracula Zoë Bleu Sidel as Elisabeta / Mina.Matilda De Angelis as Maria Ewens was fun to watch as she runs around with abandon with slips to sinister.

PROBLEMS: Christoph Waltz as Priest gives one of the most casual performances I've ever seen. No power behind any of the dialogue he's given.A lot is overdone with making some scenes look like a Broadway show to a cartoon. In fact a couple of characters actually made me think of minions from various Disney cartoons. Ultimately its the consistent shifts in tone that made it hard for me to pay attention at times and just impatiently wait for the movie to end.

Scale of 1 to 10 a 6
