The Physical Media thread for Movies and TV shows

konceptjones

The one between three and three.
I know some of y'all ain't been feelin' the recent price hikes and shit these streaming platforms been laying on us lately. Since there's already a physical media thread for The Record Store, I figured it'd be a cool thread here since I know I ain't the only one going back to copping old flicks on DVD, BluRay, and VHS.

This is my Goodwill haul for today. I should prolly keep a running tab of what I already have in my phone 'cause I fucked around and bought a second copy of Iron Man 2. It ain't the first time I've bought doubles either: I got two copies of Collateral and Minority Report for the same reason.

It's not just the hikes, it's that these streaming services can remove titles off their shit like nothing. I appreciate directors that value physical media

Or that they don't have the titles to begin with, or that they do but you can't watch it in your region, or they got it but it requires another subscription on top of the subscription you're already paying for.

Just gimmie the DVD.

See, this is exactly the bullshit I'm talmbout.

Figured I'd try to watch A Few Good Men tonight while folding clothes.

I might check Tubi, lotta stuff seems to unofficially end up there.

Copped today from Goodwill. I had El Mariachi on VHS but fucked around and loaned it to my MIL back in '02 or some shit and never saw it again. I'm still gonna buy it on VHS, but seeing it on DVD today put a smile on my face.
