Ok I need some clarity. I heard Stephen Miller on CNN today repeating the same talking point I’ve heard here, and have agreed with based on what I thought was happening.

@Elzo69Renaissance @ChicagoFigure @Chi-Town B and any other Chicago poster, are black people in Chicago glad ICE is in Chicago going after these immigrants? The talking point before was they were dumped in black communities and being a burden on those communities, so getting them out was welcomed.

Some are some aren’t

Those who are are seemingly right leaning and really have a gripe w the local government more than anything and in a way sees this as retribution and a way to punish the local govt more than anything

Those who aren’t happy w it is for the obvious reasons
 
@TheNightKing theres been noise of landlords calling ICE in order to get rid of tenants instead of legal process

Then ppl are also saying ice has been calling 911 all crazy I guess in a way to make it seem like CPD can’t handle their business ( which they can’t but still a narrative is being painted here to manufacture an issue that will lead to troops deployment)

The talking point before was when the migrants were way more visible. Every police station turned into migrant camps, inside and outdoor. A lot more shelters were open throughout the city including black neighborhoods and some of their schools/centers which led to some of the uproar. Most if not all of those have been cleared for a while now.

Couldnt tell u if anyone is glad about it but I do get indifference vibes from some not exclusive to any race.
