It's definitely fake outrage. I guarantee most of the people getting mad don't even read comics. They probably out here ready to boycott Marvel movies because they think the writers are caving to Trump's DEI demands or something.

Meh. For me, it is bad optics . Technically, they are not changing T’Challa and making him white. It is a new character. Just seems strange to do. As far as I know, T’Challa never entertained white women. He was always cautious about white people. Just doesnt make sense to go down this route.

Some of the comments in here are tragic

With that being said the writer who created this character is a black writer whose philosophy is “plz don’t box me into only writing black characters” which I can understand. Idk what was his logic behind THIS tho. He hasn’t explained yet.

But the idea of a white man being black panther is wack as fuck. Claiming it as “fake outrage” is just as wack.
 
Y’all wouldn’t be mad at this if you actually read the comics. This is literally all they do with The BP property.

Every… single… fucking… story is about some dumbass usurper that captures the people’s hearts for about 6 weeks only to be found out that they are secretly Hitler/Stalin and then BP wins his crown back.

He ain’t the first white dude to win either.


This is nothing tho… in the 90’s The Punisher wore blackface and teamed up with Luke Cage.

The other story was some run where Sue was having a girls night out and was girl talking about how when she first went to wakanda tchalla was pushing up on her, but they both knew it shouldn't go down....

Shit was gossipy as fuck..... But the fact homie was thinking risking it all is hilarious to me

But it is fake outrage. Again, this isn't a story about them whitewashing BP. It's a story about T'Challa's half-white son usurping the throne. Like what is there to be mad about it. It's one story arc, and you can bet that when it's resolved, BP will be all black again.
 
Comics are nuts...flash once got jumped and had his costume stolen by crack heads who were getting high on a speed drug....

They really will write watching

It ain't even that deep. It's a storyline where the white/mixed dude is a usurper. It ain't like they retconned the story so that the original Black Panther was some white dude that wandered into Africa and civilized the Wakandans.
