The price of wig glue must’ve gone up, I’m seeing an unordinary about of edges leaking through. And I’m not even that type of dude that care. But it feel like seeing someone with really dirty white A1’s. Feel like, doesn’t that defeat the point?

What’s wild is that I don’t and didn’t pay attention before. Had you asked me a year ago, I’d be completely oblivious and thinking it’s authentically their hair or a weave.

TikTok has exposed me to a number of GRWM videos and just women ruminating as they do their wigs. So that made me aware of how they work and are applied. So now..at work, at the store, randomly out and out.

And I’m 6’1 so most women are shorter than me so I’m eye level with their forehead. And I see at the very middle of their foreheads, the hair under it, or like, the inside crown of their head, I see the separation.

You know, as I write this, I now think maybe nothing has changed and I’m just more aware of something that has always been there, I just didn’t know enough to understand what I was seeing or care enough to look.
