🤔 wouldn't say he's exactly my enemy, but my one home boy grew up with. We're never going to be cool again.

The nail in the coffin was that I moved out of the town house we were renting, and I got the electricity and the cable turned off cuz they were my name, and both overdue, and I could pay the bills down on my own as trade if for moving out. And he could just get them turned back on in his name as he never had an account.

Like I took the bills with me, they were both over due. It was free to get them both turned back on, but he made it seem like I left him in the dark. Skit was wild... Then 5 years later he stopped paying rent there and they took us both to collections... But he never made one payment, I had to pay 5k on back rent and eviction shit for a spot I hadn't lived in over 5 years.. This was a week before my wedding when I found out, and my wife was already pregnant, and we were doing really good at building our credit when this came up.

I reached out, and he got real preachy about it....I told him don't worry, I got it. I wish him and his family well. But I pray to God we're never in the same room. Ever.

How long was the lease? Should have had your name removed. I got caught up like that too but fortunately the landlord had my name spelled wrong on the lease agreement and I lucked out in court.

I wrote a letter to the leasing office when I left. But when they sued me, the sent a copy of the leasing agreement that said that's not how you get out of a lease... We were both supposed to go into the office, and he would have to resign a new lease.

I just sent them a letter and left. He stayed there for 5 more years knowing damn well my name was still on the shit and said nothing.

My wife wanted me to take it to court, but I was like I'm not tryna come outta pocket anymore. There is a chance I could lose
And if this ever escalates, I'd rather not have a court case on file
