We took shuttles. We stayed at 2 places that were in two different parts of the country. Stayed in Puerto Viejo first. That was a 5 hour drive from the airport. That is on the Caribbean side. Many black folks. Lots of Jamaicans. Our excursions had pick ups, except the cooking class. Just took a taxi or to tuc tucs as they call them.

Took a shared shuttle back to San Jose and stayed there since it was 30mins from airport. Did excursions to Arenal park where the volcano is located. That was like 2 hours away.

I wouldn't have felt comfortable driving in the rain forest up in the mountains. Got to go through there to get to Arenal and puerto veiejo. Views were amazing. I could handle driving in Puerto viejo. San Jose seems difficult to drive through. So much traffic and narrow streets. Parking looks hard to do as well.

The shared shuttles were cheap for that 5hr distance. We did Uber when we were in San Jose to get around. Went to their museums. I was gonna do Uber anyway but even our cooking teacher said don't do taxis. They are rigged and will cheat you out your money. The ones in San Jose.

The more Maldives videos I watch....the more I'm certain that'll be my next destination in 2 years

I’m thinking Maldives, Seychelles or Zanzibar for wife and I’s anniversary. Had the same list for our honeymoon and choose Mauritius cause it was the cheapest option

Ayo @BlackRain @Goldie @Revolver Ocelot I thinking about spending a couple days in DC in like late April or May. Are there any festivals around that time yall know about? And gonna need advice in food spots.
Cherry blossom festival.

Awesome con- (like a comic con)

Passport dc - ( majority of the embassies open up for the public. Each celebrates their culture with music, vendors and food.) Majority are free to enter. I went to a few last year. Pretty dope. It's like 170 embassies so you just choose the country you are interested in.
