I was referring to the fact that he wasn’t liquid enough to cover his divorce settlement so he agreed to exchange the funds made from the album instead then tried to make some bullshit

Marvin put his whole heart and soul into that album. He just didnt try to make it commercial.

If Lupe knowingly put out some bullshit to fulfill a contract u could compare this to Prince's "Chaos & Disorder" album. He released a bunch of throwaways when he was beefin w his label.
