Man Cave/Game Room Ideas

...semi goals.

Now wit our basement we got a lot of space. Kinda having buyers remorse with the treadmill. Where we have it, another lounge chair could've easily been put there.

I'm about to get in my fall diy bag and make some sports shit for man caves to try and sell

Maybe I'll post some stuff here but I have dreams
Soooooooo yeah

Had to put this on hold a lot longer than I wanted 🥹

Good news is I'm gearing up to get it back up and going once I move and get settled

But that's not why I bumped this thread. I'm gonna start posting things I'm going to do for my new man space at the new digs.

One of the first things I'ma get is an L shaped desk. My thought is to have my PC hooked up inside the L, and have a TV mounted to the wall. I'll see if I can find some reference pics but here are a couple of desks I'm thinking about. At first I was gonna go with a standing L desk but after owning a standing desk since COVID, I found myself using it less and less the further we got away from the shutdown so I think a stationary one is gonna suit my needs better this time around

This one with the peg board offc to the right cause I'll have a wall where the window is in this pic

If I go with this one, then I'll put the peg board in the same place or directly behind me and the TV will go where the peg board would've gone. I don't like the look of the drawers though. They look like that hard card board material

Ok so boom

Gonna build a Murphy bed into this space as it will also serve as a guest room for company

The layout is perfect to where the bed and the L shaped desk will not overlap and I can also crash up there if I'm too drunk to go downstairs to my room🫠

Good shit @Chris P. Bacon seems like you got it all mapped out
Thanks b

I wanna start buying stuff now but I need to wait until I'm actually in there so I can be sure of the measurements. Going to also deck the space out in some of the woodworking pieces I plan to eventually sell

Speaking of, my sister is going to let me hang up pieces in her barbershop to display. If someone likes it, I'll have my QR code on the back so they can pay without having to meet me

Be sure to post up when you get it rolling

Any particular reason to go with these instead of something a bit better?
I'm not trying to break the bank and I'm not an audiophile either

My gaming rotation has changed significantly also where I used to be a heavy cod or battlefield guy and wanted to hear all the explosions and shit but I ended up using headphones anyway.

Now in talking about it this some more, I may ditch the speakers altogether or go even cheaper for my more point and click centric games that don't have a ton of action sounds

But there is an open space on the 2nd floor where I'll be. The goal is to make this a movie/media space

Ran across this video just now

Been sayin' this shit for the longest and y'all simply wouldn't believe me.

The difference between a soundbar, even the "good ones" and an actual receiver setup with proper speakers is light years apart.
