He didnt really regenerate. Hes a plant, so when he protected the guardians from that fall and basically exploded, Rocket took a piece of him and replanted it and he grew into a new groot. He's more of a clone. Its kinda like how they clone weed plants, pluck a piece off of it then place it in soil and it will sprout roots and grow into another plant. Can do that with a ton of plants.

im not gon get into the weeds of it all Lou, and while I certainly appreciate your explanation, sounds like he just regenerated

i know there is a planet called Groot or some shit so all of them are named that (i assume) but, yea

his mama named him groot, i'ma call him groot

He regenerates in the comics not the MCU. In the comics, when he comes back he retains all of his memories, has the same personality, and is the same exact person. In the MCU, his species has a kind of asexual reproduction that allows them create progeny when they die. Groot Jr. doesn't have any of Groot's memories in the movies and will continue to have a different personality even when he grows up. It's a different being.
 
Those Nubia drawings are dope. That shuri pic is hot I want to see a nakia pic drawn in that style. That wkabi and kilmonger pic show that they can being him back from the dead. If they use the resurrection alter from the comics. Kilmonger was killed in the 70s and brought back from the dead.
 
Outside of the obvious (Black Panther sequel, Guardians sequel, Spider Man etc) what movies do y’all see going down in phase 4? Think outside of the box. I say we get a Hulk movie and a Namor movie.

So Infinity War was shot completely in IMAX. It's expensive seeing shit in IMAX 3D, but I might have to go ahead and shell out that money for this one.
