You know you can be grateful yet still acknowledge that shit needs improvement right? It's like you're automatically assuming that to want better means you somehow don't appreciate what you currently have and that's just bullshit. It's also alot of jealousy "you have more so why you complaining" which is also stupid and ultimately sells your own self short. A few decades ago, if you had Will Smith in a movie folks was coming to see it. He was bringing in big money.

Viola Davis has been speaking out about this for years too. Has all the accolades and more than many of her white counterparts yet she's still paid less than them and nobody would deny her star power.

I don't because I'm a contractor. My FTE conversion salary is more in line with what I should be paid and a significant increase over my current rate. She doesn't get more 'cause or racism and her team ain't negotiating more.

Again, there's a difference.

I 100% believe in getting what you're worth, but I also don't believe in sittin' off until you get it when you have a family to take care of.
