I don't think this is just a Taraji problem, it's a systematic problem when it comes to paying black actresses what they're worth which is why I posted the video of Viola Davis.

I know people are in here clowning what movies she's been in, but she has been enough money makers and critically acclaim films. Even with Cookie Lyon, not too many actresses could have made that role into one that was award winning.

Why do the circumstances have to be the exact same to simply say its fucked up people are underpaid at their jobs/careers? It can just be that and done. Niggas wanna have the Oppression Olympics like you scared if somebody else fucked up situation is acknowledged won't nobody notice yours too. Your situation could also be easily dismissed as "Well you got a job and some random person doesn't so fuck your complaints."

People openly being less than human to each other and wondering why the shit keeps going the way it is.

Bruh im underpaid as well. Im sure many of us on here can say the same thing. Difference is I can relate and empathize with someone who aint getting paid their worth if they make MORE than me, if they make the same as me, or if they make less than me.

Sure we aint all literally CRYING about it but she should be able to call out fuck shit when it's clearly happening across the board without niggas shruggin on some "tough break nigga"

One man's broke is another man's joyful payday. It ain't the "oppression olympics" because right now in Hollywood there's quite a few a Black actresses that would GLADLY take the money Taraji's getting underpaid. Same for me, I know cats that would love the money I make, and in knowing that I'm grateful that I even have this job and make this kind of money despite what I know I could or should be making.

The point is there's Black actresses in Hollywood right now that would take a $500k payday and jump up and down screaming with happiness regardless of whether or not she's being underpaid for the role.

I really feel like Koncept you’re not getting it. We live in a racist country that underpays black people at every single level. I know some of y’all old heads think we just work and accept it and don’t speak on it. But somebody gotta speak on it. Same reason taraji don’t get more is the same reason you don’t. I been talked about how capitalism does shit like this and some of y’all laughed it off
