I mean extreme takes seem to be running the thread. If niggas can take away some form of symbolism that makes them feel less than a man or like Rocky is less than a man then others should be able to draw their own pov as well.

The extremes only seem to stand out when they disagree. The fact that trying to diagnose an entire relationship between two people nobody knows and make a determination on how much of a man Rocky is based on one picture somehow isn't an extreme

In terms of the music industry and opposites of what we see here... yes. Based off some of the responses in here, yours included, you'd feel more aligned with seeing a pic of Ike 'leading' Tina, than you do of Rihanna 'leading' Rocky. But feel free to post another extreme that you think hits the same

We can zoom all the way out and I can breakdown my utter disdain of unqualified male leadership and unworthy patriarchy if you like but I'm driving atm and can't give it my full attention until this evening. But its a discussion that can be had also

My 17 and 15yo have both held pistols and neither balked at the idea of having to defend themselves

I trust them with their own lives, and the lives of their children, far more than I'll ever trust your son with their lives

Abusers aren’t leaders.


Don’t say “yours included” because I don’t believe men who abuse or coerce women are leaders at all….they use emotional displays to seek control. A true leader follows a reason/standard and the people who respect it follows. That’s what a man is supposed to be

So look man, if we gonna have a real open and honest dialogue about this we gonna have to quote each and respond with full truths and not half truths

I don't have the time to address this like I want to so I'll circle back tonight but I can tell you wholeheartedly, based off the last 2 sentences of your post it's gonna be a tough convo

And I can't stop laughing at you leading with 'Ike never led Tina'.....

I never lied once about anything…..YOU seem to have a negative view of patriarchy by leading with the example of FUCKING IKE & TINA

What about Malcolm X and Betty?

Abusing and strong arming someone doesn’t make them a “leader” in my book. If you believe that you have a poor view of leadership
