The optics look wrong, white folks can play dress up/do cosplay etc because they run shit regardless of how silly they look, we are in a system of degradation so running around dancing in a movie theatre about a fictional movie is the very definition of “doing the most”. The Warriors players were drawing up plays last week against the Suns, and as silly as that looked they are the Warriors they are the best team in the league and they can get away with doing that nonsense. Now if a team like the Hawks did this how much worse would the optics of that would look? We as a people are losing we been losing for centuries we are not in a position to do this, we leave the theater and we are still in this same shitty position. Bottom line just watch the movie, enjoy it etc. All these extra stuff is just doing too much it’s not that serious.

I aint gonna rehash what has been pointed out to Du these last 40 some odd pages

As I said, my kids were hyped af watching this moreso than any other MCU movie. Idc and neither did they that it was fictional. My 11 yo loved Tchalla and his sister. She loved that that young sister was head of technology, especially because she wants to be an engineer

To me, its a movie that can bridge the youth to the Selmas, the BOAN, the Hidden Figures of Hollywood

To be fair I read about them talking about that early last year, but Black Panther's success will make it that much more posdible to happen.

A small piece of Hollywood? Y’all can’t see the forest from the trees for nothing. Nothing wrong with seeing the movie and your kids loving the characters, that was never the point. The point is about these people showing up to theatres like King Joffy Joe is doing too much that’s been the point. Just see the movie enjoy it and move on.
