WhoBorrowed: Flow

Inspired by the story of Pimp C's legendary flow on Big Pimpin', a lot of rappers repurpose flows with different intentions... Sometimes it's as a tribute, other times it's biting...

Some rappers are notorious for it like Jay-Z and The Game. If you can't provide evidence or a source, provide reasons why you think it's borrowed. This could be like a 'whosampled' for flows and style in general...

Follow the format:

Artist...
Song...
Borrowed flow from...
Evidence/source...
Biting or Giving props...

For example:

Artist: Pimp C
Song: Big Pimpin'
Borrowed flow from: Big Gipp
Example of borrowed flow: ???
Evidence: http://www.jamfeed.com/news/2015/09...m-reading-weet-jone-pimp-cs-trill-life-story/

"Pimp C didn’t know how to approach the “Big Pimpin” beat, claiming that he “wasn’t a lyricist” like Bun B or Jay-Z. He called his boy Big Gipp from Goodie Mob to ask him if he could borrow his rapping style on the song. With Gipp’s permission, Pimp went on to write undoubtedly the most quotable eight-bar rap verse ever."

Biting or Giving Props: Props

Artist: 50 Cent
Song: In the Club
Borrowed flow from: Lloyd Banks
Example of Borrowed flow:
Evidence: Says it right there in the lyrics...

"I'm a tell you what Banks told me 'cause go 'head switch the style up
If the niggas hate then let 'em hate and watch the money pile up"

Biting or Giving Props: Props

Artist: Pac.

Pac had 2 signature styles to his flow.

1. He would always rhyme within the rhyme:

Ex:

"It's like erotic
Ironic, cause I'm somewhat psychotic
I'm hittin'' switches on bitches like I been fixed with hydraulics"

And his other signature style was rhyming every other bar :

ex:

Tell me baby are you lonely?
Don't wanna rush ya,
I can help ya if ya only
Let me touch ya,

I never thought I'd see, the day when I would calm down
You ain't heard,
I've been known to clown and Get Around
that's my word

Don't be phony,
'cause I hate when you act like
You don't know me
I've be stressin' in the spotlight

Both signature flows were used on this and Pac's vocal tone and inflections

I live the life of a celebrity
a made nigga
way bigger
then them other cats u love to see
