The VP is in Panjshir recruiting for a rebellion with the son of the former leader of the Northern Alliance. This shit has been the Taliban vs. the government for a minute, the Taliban hasn't attack American soldiers in a year and a half because of a deal made.

Afghanistan been at this since the king was overthrown back in the 70s. I'm not sure what you are watching so that shit may be being reported weird or misleading but, in general, it ain't cap about the civil war shit.
do you think the Northern Alliance is going to last?

Nope.

The one back in the day had the support of multiple countries, including the U.S. For this one to succeed, the same would have to be true; however, the U.S. has pulled out and wiped it's hands of the situation. Even if there were renewed interest in aiding them, would Pakistan agree to, once more, allowing them to use their country to transport weapons and supplies into Afghanistan after all that has happened? Given how Pakistan is basically a major reason the Taliban were able to sustain themselves for so long. Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan are definitely not going to allow them to use their countries as supply bases, for obvious reasons (Russia). Iran and China damn sure aren't, either.

Additionally, the Northern Alliance back in the day held way more territory than just Panjshir and commanded the loyalty of way more militia leaders than this one seems to be able to cobble together.

i agree with ur analysis. I wondering if Afghanistan is going to turn in the new syria. it too early to call but i think tailban is pro china which is a problem for india. if the Taliban side with china then the chabahar port deal with iran might not happen(no access to central asia for india). I think the west will protect the Northern Alliance. I am just looking for the western media spin of the Northern Alliance begin a secular liberal muslim freedom fighter like the kurds. I think the northern allanice can attract many outside support such as: the west will support Northern Alliance for having liberals value, india for access to central asia and to spite pakistan/china and iran for protecting the shia Hazaras population. the taliban takeover is big win for china, I see china afghanistan economic corridor just like cpec coming through the wakhan corridor using the chabarhar port and another oil/gas pipeline with iran and new mining deals for rare earth and lithium. i cant see the us sitting back and letting that happen.

I know I supposed to feel bad for the people but I don't. America needs to fix home first before trying to change the minds of people and spending trillions. That money could've fed every hungry mouth in this country and fixed every bad road ended homelessness.

🤷🏾‍♂️

All true.

Biden just needs to be brutally honest about the situation.

One of the main reasons we're leaving is because it was a waste of money.

Hundreds of billions of dollars spent trying to form a democratic government........establishing an Afghan military..........etc...........but it takes barely a month for the whole thing to fall apart after we leave.

Plus, the Taliban's taken weapons and other military equipment left behind by the military we trained.

Nothing to show for any of that money at all.

In hindsight, they probably should've focused on training the women to fight.

Simply because they've got the most to lose.

All the men have to do is fall in line and their lives wouldn't be that much different.
