And Spurs just won with an interim manager who used to play for us after being involved in Super League fuckery and after sacking Mou. You can't make this shit up lmao. COYS either way lol

He's such a fag

I dunno the game like most of y'all, but what was really the problem wiry the Super League? Seems like the rich get richer either way. UEFA just didn't get their cut and control this way.

You're right in that either way the rich get richer while the fans continue getting exploited. UEFA and FIFA are no saints and are unhappy because because the ones usually doing the exploiting got exploited themselves.

A lot of people take exception to to the closed shop/US franchise approach that's more explicit in that those at the top are protected and make all the cash while leaving little for everyone else, plus not having no relegations in football is shit. Watching Barcelona v Juventus all the time would lose its allure pretty fast.

In theory, any team based on on-pitch performance can rise through the ranks to the top - it's rare, but we saw Leicester come out of nowhere a couple of years back to win the league. We all enjoy seeing teams from lower divisions beat bigher clubs in the FA Cup and go on mad runs. You're not going to get that with the ESL proposal as you're simply in the league because you're deemed the most commercially successful.

Don't the new Champions League rules still basically cheat to keep the money makers in, and exclude smaller clubs. They reserved 2 spots to put in teams that finish between 5-7 in their league, that are usually good. Like if Premier League ended today 7th place Liverpool would go to CL, and 5th place West Ham wouldn't.

That's why I'm like CL isn't any better than the Super League. They just try to hide it, and the SL doesn't.
