ABW Stock Exchange: All Things Investing

whoaaaa

the 20k is from 2008

its getting a bit confusing......lets just go off the new numbers.
52 week is $646. blue moon in the sky if it hits that again.

i think this is a holder even tho its not recommended but thats me. i see it at least tripling by the end of summer.

Yea that 20k not what i was talking bout. Fuck it man. My fault for confusing mfers, ill look for my answer online.

If it goes up, im selling though. I wont sell the whole thing, but if im trippling my money, ill sell half and keep half.

Oil is too risky to keep long term. Even though this is a special circumstance and those normal rules dont apply.

We've been talking alot about buying and looking into what we should invest in.....Im curious about the SELLING and TAXING portion as well.

Since yall are talking about oil right now... lets say you invested last week and in a month it shoots up triple to what you paid for and you want to sell.

If you sell those shares... do you have to document that sale for tax purposes? Or is it only taxable when you withdraw from you trading platform into your banking account?

Lets say you sell the oil shares and take that money to reinvest into another stock or fund instead of withdrawing to your bank account.....

I guess my main question is when do your gains actually become taxable/taxable income?

I fully plan on looking into this myself but figured Id throw the question out there. I also realize there are short term capital gains and long term capital gains

Someone school me on the price for UCO.

I bought this bitch after the reverse split so somethings are confusing to me.

So before the 25:1 split, the price was $1.20? And all reverse means is that they decreased the volume, or number of available shares, by 25. Keeping the same fund value but decreasing volume made the price shoot up to $30, before it fell to $15.

All of that makes sense. I understand how splits and reverse splits work.

My question is the 52 month high for UCO. The 52 month high is $650. Is that price a before or after split price? Not sure if that is updated

If the stock went down from $650 to $1.20, that means after the split, it has to get back to about 20k a piece to hit the old price.

Or, was the price actually $22 a share and the $650 im seeing is adjusted as the after split price?

@DOS_patos @Cain Or anyone else who bought or was researching UCO before the split.

Im just trying to understand how much it actually fell.
650 is the new 52 wk high I assume adjust due to the split

The 52 wk high beforehand was $26.20

Does anyone use the Investing.com App to buy/trade?

I've downloaded about a week ago and it has a good bit of information it sends thru push notifications about different market sectors, but I haven't linked up my banking information yet. Just wanna know what the people think!

We are all in new waters. Hell, I got airline stock too and made a few. I'm going against the norm since we are not in normal times.

Precrash it was avg $15-$20. At times reaching 896, 636 , and 460 respectively back in 2012 and 2008.

Must likely won't reach there again. But still looks profitable when the states open up and people start driving.

I been watching it for a bit. Has huge potential.
i think its a perfect time to get it because the russains and saudis still fighting and mexico walked out...but they all kinda came to an agreement.
@Thor
@AZTG
