Honestly I don’t believe it. We hear this every year.

However the story does say that Spurs only got £50m to spend plus money from player sales.

Spurs do need a mini rebuild so it could be true.

Mini? And the rest. They need a whole new defence, i'm unconvinced by their central midfield and we all know they need another striker. They need a major rebuild and Jose aint the man to do it. I said from when he was appointed that it will be 12 months before he's on the verge of getting booted. When they fail to make top 4 that will bebthe catalyst

Imagine telling yo bosses and the media that you are gonna throw one of your next two games!

Old Jose is back and the rebrand is dead...already.

The priority has to be getting back into champions league next season at all costs so it's either finish 4th (can't leave this 5th place / Man City nonsense to chance) or win it come May.

Let's say Spurs tell Jose go for the league, then he really puts the pressure not only to beat Burnley but all the games till the end of the season, so he's running a risky game here.

Last time he did this it worked for United as he prioritised Europa Cup over league but this is a different ball game now

When you look at Nuno at Wolves and see his squad of 15 players..played way more games than a lot of teams but Spurs I think it’s 14 more games. Do you ever hear him complaining? Just gets on with it.

Modern management. Nuno says he don’t want a bigger side. The money they save on squad players they invest in restricting injuries.

You have to adapt to your surroundings and the problem for Jose is this is the hardest task he has had to face. Even before the injuries, Spurs have never spent big.

I had to look at Levy when he made this change and could only conclude that he was gonna go all out in the transfer markets but stories keep coming out that money is tight.

How did sacking Poch and bringing in Jose make sense if you not gonna spend? Surely Poch only needed a few tweaks, move some players on and freshen the squad and Poch would have kept it moving.

After paying Poch to go, the task looks more expensive under Jose now.

Will see what happens next season.
