Long Read - The World Is A Prison

Who do you think you are? I am
As some of you may know, I work around correctional facilities. And in working in these places I’ve gotten beyond the stories people tell about them and have been made more aware of the realities of them.

So to get right to it, the department of corrections in every state is very understaffed. For a prison let’s say, that houses 1000 employees. You divide that by 5, and you have 4 officers for every 200 inmates.

Then you have 5 dorms to house 200 inmates each. Whose communications between dorms are limited. So let’s say, in dorm A, 50 inmates are able to convince 100 other inmates to be on board for a revolt. They plan it, and are able to keep the moment it happens secret and it happens.

Those 4 officers radio to the rest of the faculty and they send all available officers to that dorm. Those officers with more resources are able to stop the revolt in that dorm.

Now, they lock down the faculty and drastically punish those that sparked it, take away privileges from those in that dorm and cut off every other dorm from any freedom of movement they may have had.

Thus creating animosity through the rest of the prison for the inmates that house dorm A. Effectively showing everyone the consequences of rising up, so they don’t test their power again.

When you look at the mass resignation after covid. Decent earners recognized their power and essentialness and leveraged it against companies for higher pay. Those companies and the government got together to commit to mass layoffs to punish those people drastically, and raise prices and inflation to restrict freedom of movement for everyone else.

Effectively, implementing the prison control strategy. That leaves everyone that had nothing to do with it. Mad at those that sought to rise up, and instill fear of this is what’s going to happen if they rise up.

Allowing the few, to perpetuate the myth that they have more power than the many. This is the reason for class, race, and gender wars to effectively dormatise, the “inmates” into pockets that don’t, can’t, or won’t communicate with each other and when they do, it’s limited.

And any communication is monitored, see data collection and the desire to remove an app like TikTok that overrides monitoring and doesn’t limit communication.

This is why there are so many openings but no one can get hired anywhere decent. To kill moral of those capable, and force people to submit to the rule of law. You are a worker, in an asylum, be happy with what the little you have because at any moment we can take it from you.

Added to that, in these “dorms” of society, some of the most influential people that these different dorms look up to, are essentially “faculty” there to stop uprisings.

We past that

Independents like Joe Rogan now for people like Donald Trump

Elon Musk and Twitter

There to keep things in place
