When reformed ex-con Walt Manigan (André Holland) attempts to reintegrate into society and become the father he hopes to be, he struggles to find his footing until he returns to a place he had left behind: the boxing gym. There, he coaches a motley crew of teenage boys at a local D.C. youth gym, culminating in two young best friends facing off at the National Championship.
