OPINION The Wire - A Hindsight Discussion

Got damn this nigga Randy grew like 5 inches taller and lost his spirit lmao

I read that he's supposed to be Method Man's son? Wonder why they didnt explore that.

They stay true to real life.

Don't remember all the details, but when they had all the background stuff on HBO's website years back, they wanted to make things seem as realistic as possible.

Basically, they were trying to get across that things like that happen all the time, but the truth hardly ever comes out.

So I'm thinking they thought it would take away from the authenticity of the show or something.

Listening to a vid that states that Cudi puts the boxing poster that got Avon in trouble in season 1 in his gym in season 4 and 5

I never noticed it has anyone noticed it while watching the show?

Finally wrapped up The Wire what a fucking A+++show. Season 5 wasn’t the best; I wasn’t that much into the newspaper theme but it served its purpose. McNutly & Lester doing all that fugazy work and it was ultimately a nothin burger is peak television.

It’s unfortunate how Duke ends up; almost all of them really. Namrod the only one who got lucky. Just a case study on how the system all around can corrupt, shape & determine someone’s future respectively.

Marlo making it through without anyone even coming close to having him clapped is kinda wild lol

In fact now that I think about it Avon was the only person who was in actual reach of getting Marlo hemmed up til Stringer gave up the drop & they arrested all of them.

Omar getting done up by that kid is pretty poetic. Omar for 5 seasons moved entirely on point and never saw that end comin cause none of us did

Shoutouts to Poot he the only nigga from the Barksdale crew who made it out

I didn't like the fact Marlo and Omar didn't have any scenes together, them dudes trying to kill each other and didn't come close to seeing the other.

I think they only had one scene together; when Omar robbed Marlo at the poker game. That was it. They spent way more time chasing each other’s shadow
