Original Score was 5/10......he removed it and added a disclaimer so he'd stop getting hate mail about this review lmao

It Was Written's cultural transformation from "these beats are trash except for I Gave You Power" to "ACTUALLY this album is better than illmatic" has been crazy. Nas is Coming still sounds like a parody of a Dr. Dre beat to me. Trackmasters don't appear on GOAT Producer lists for a reason. Its just "good" production compared to the all time beats on Illmatic.

I say all that to say, this should not be that close lol ANasWeb indeed

7 Day Theory? Makaveli? The album with HAIL MARY, Blasphemy, Against All Odds? The album with To Live And Die In LA, Me & My Girlfriend, White Man'z World? The album that opens with "Suge Shot Me" and ends with him dissing the entire industry and proudly predicting his death? THAT album? The album where the biggest rapper in world history decided to make his music more antagonistic AND socially conscious shortly before dying? Titled "The 7 Day Theory" because it was completed in 7 Days? GTFOH. Respectfully you It Was Written voters are insane and I'm pretty sure Nas would agree
 
i watched a DJ Quik interview and he mentions how HORRIBLE Blasphemy is mixed.

I re listened and yea, the mix is 100% ass.

i cant listen to it any more since.
