I specifically focused on Asia because I don’t wanna hear about how you niggas would live in Belize or DR or some shit

Just came across a couple of vids recently and wanted to make a thread

After spending time in Thailand, I immediately understood why people retire there. Based on the exchange rate, the people, the culture, and the location, very few down sides.

Now China? A bit different. My homie lived in China for 15 years and with very few caveats, the negatives outweigh the positives.

My middle daughter is trying to get a gig in Beijing as I type this. She's conversational in Chinese to a degree but I think she reads it better than she speaks it. She believes she's ready for the culture shock but I'm not too sure she's ready for the reaction she's going to get being a 6' tall Black American woman.

I've prolly said this before, but there was a point in the 90's where I almost threw all my shit in a suitcase to move to Tokyo. Unbeknownst to me, one of my true day-1's had already did that in the mid-90's, so had I done it at least I would have had a familiar face to hang with.

I wouldn’t mind going but I definitely would rather go with a friend that’s speaks the language, understands the customs, and is familiar with the community’s.

My boy been living in asia 12+ years now. Once his parents passed and he touched that inheritance he was gone. He came back once after the first couple yrs and that was it. He pulls up in the group chat once or twice a month. I think he's in Thailand right now. He moves around.

My homeboy in Thailand white as shit... But he's been telling me to come down since he's been there...

I gotta home girl they was in Japan for like 15 years... She's home now... Saw her this past Christmas.... she had hella stories
