I'm speaking from a very limited POV of someone that really doesn't have a ton of time to game these days anyway but I also can chew gum and walk at the same time

I'll never choose one game or the other if I like both. I'll buy both. But I also understand the convo extends beyond just the sale of the game if your game is dependant on servers that tabulate online users at once

So I guess the hope is to get as many sales in October expecting interest to drop off a cliff in November cause a lot of people will navigate to GTA

Lmao this was such a head ass response

But the point is when people buy GTA they are going to be so immersed in it that it’s all they’re going to play for a good min

Let’s say originally 5 games were going to come out the same month as GTA

4/5 people are going to buy GTA

Now out of those 4 how many are going to buy another game?

How many are going to buy 2 games In addition to GTA?

How much less positive word of mouth, streaming and content creation for the non GTA games will there be with GTA dropping vs if it wasn’t?

You also have to factor in a lot of people only buy maybe one game a month and that’s pushing it

So if they are going to have one purchase it’s going to that

The rest will be live service gaming or playing madden
