watched the last 3 eps of S1 with my daughter yesterday.

I love how while we get multiple antagonists, we have one overarching antagonist. Bastion and now Apocalypse. Then you sprinkle secondary ones like Sinister and Trask in Season 1, while we'll get Exodus, Danger and the Brood this upcoming season
