This would work as a thing against Drake if this didn't apply to damn near every rapper. Kendrick got songs with Kodak Black and that nigga got all sorts of wild charges. Thats why the moral high ground shit is a fools game to play
Has Kendrick said anything about Kodak or said anything that shows he supports the things Kodak was accused of…

Working with him after he took a plea deal on battery and assault charges connected to a rape allegation. Or when Top threatened to pull his music off Spotify over R. Kelly. You can't find too many in the music industry who ain't said and/or done something suspect. You just hate Drake

The pure sales did stand out to me as well. Not sure what exactly it means tho.

Edit to clarify, I know what pure sales are. I don't know what Iceman's being so low mean.

Its when they do a bundle or sell a collectors vinyl. Or they buy the digital version.

Drake never does bundles but he sometimes does very limited collectors vinyl releases. The $$$4U vinyl sold all 25k released.

Kendrick sold a collectors vinyl with 6 different color ways at different locations. No bundles.

The pure sales is a nothing burger really. Niggas like Tyler the creator and Travis Scott do 150 - 250k pure sales. Between their vinyls and bundles.

From my understanding, when the stream to purchase ratio is way off (leaning more to streams), it usually means a few things.

  • Bunch of casual listeners rushed just to hear it and arnt fans or they are fans that didnt like it enough to buy it
  • the algorithm was modified so that album/song it on all the playlists to make sure people heard it
  • they paid for bots to make sure it got big numbers to be a success & possibly generate interest ( like what young thug got caught doing on those jail recordings)

Nah, pure sales means you bought the album or the single. Could be a physical copy (CD, tape or vinyl) or a digital copy of the album or single.

They really think Baby Keem got a bigger fan base than Drake because he had more “sales”

Shit is nothing but a way to make it look like you have a bigger fan base than you actually do.
I dare both of you to type Keem in the search engine and hit ‘This Thread’ and say how many times someone spoke about him in the positive.

All I saw was dissections of lyrics.

I’m just mad grown ass men still calling themselves some kinda “Baby”

I don’t think you’re understanding the point I just made

Do people still buy albums they like? Bragging about streams always seemed weird to me because it seems logical to me that streams would be lower for people who's albums are actually purchased. Maybe that's an outdated way of thinking. I just know I personally never stream anything if I've already bought the album.
