That's just the Toronto in him. Toronto is the multicultural hub of the world. A city of immigrants and their children. We don't shun other cultures we pull from them. It impacts everything we do. How we live, talk, dress, eat, sound, create. We're not afraid to delve into other cultures and niches to try something different.

That's what makes us unique. Here if you ask someone where they're from they gonna tell you where their parents are from because saying Toronto or Canada to another Canadian might as well be saying you're from everywhere.

Because of that there has never been a formulaic way to sound. The closest we've gotten to that is producers doing ovo 40 impressions.

I don't know if homage is the right word but biting isn't either. It's not a nefarious thing going on. It's a "yo this sounds tough, let me try it" thing, except when drake does it he's doing it the biggest with the biggest audience.

I get how it might come across to uncultured swine like yourself. You be eating 3.5 star rated African food in Albuquerque 😒
