Illinois is already one of the most heavily gerrymandered states (pro Dem) in the country. It doesn't need to be gerrymandered any farther it's already in a chokehold. It's more optics than anything.

It’s really just a play on the national level. Trying to offset the gerrymandering that started in Texas and has spread to other states.
