Yeah I honestly thought they were gonna do an immediate free fall. Still don't see them getting out of the first round without cade but you gotta respect what they've done without him so far.

Agreed

Its encouraging that they havent completely fallen apart but I would still be surprised if they make it out of the first round......but idk maybe their defensive upside will be enough, its not like they're going to have play some explosive or unstoppable offense in the first round where they just cant keep up

I wouldn't want to go against Miami, Atlanta or even Charlotte's offense if I were them without Cade. Magic the only ones that might let them off the hook imo.

This team loses games they are supposed to win and win games they are supposed to lose too much for a 4-1 run

I mean more than anything I can bet Spo doesn’t care if the heat are in the play in or not

He probably wants the team to be as healthy as possible and firing on all cylinders so when the post season comes he can feel like we can give anyone a fight and in actuality we can. Just varying degrees of success depending on who we go up against

Take away the regular season and we have a strong playoff roster of

Ware
Bam
Wiggins
Herro
Mitchell

Kasparas/Dru
Powell
Jaquez
 
Best thing for the heat from a competitive standpoint is to win both play in games and be 7th and hope the Knicks pass the Celtics for a Heat/knicks 1st round

Or be the 8th seed and play a beatable Pistons team

Just like the 8th seeded Heat won against a beatable bucks? Team a few years back

As long as they don’t play the Celtics or Cavs they can beat any other team. Knicks I’m on the fence about but if Celtics and Cavs are 10s then the Knicks are probably a 7.5 as far as difficulty for the Heat
 
Interesting to hear Tim MacMahon say despite how well James Borrego has done taking over in New Orleans it's highly unlikely he going to get real consideration from ownership to be the permanent coach after this season

If Jaquez didn’t go from a guy I would trade 2 SRPs in the summer to a guy who has been a 6th man of the year contender the entire year I would tell you it’s over

I still will hold out hope

Constant yanking in and out the rotation coupled with injuries and just bad play made this season really bad for him

His contract extension doesn’t make optics look good either

Duncan Robinson struggled after he got his deal too with the pressure from it

I will give Jovic another maybe half season before I completely give up but he’s very close
 
Also depending on if we can get a backup big in the offseason by free agency or by draft it might make me give up right then and there
